Question Answered

my original bulb had 15000 hours, does this bulb have the same lamp life? Asked by DAVID A. On Jun 02, 2022

No, this bulb, Internal SKU#: MPLL11284, for the Optoma HD142X projector has a lamp life of 5000 hours and 8000 hours in eco mode. And no other bulb we sell has a lamp life of 15000. You will need a laser projector to get that long of a lamp life and we don't sell lamps for those projectors. However, some Epson bulbs can get 10,000-17,000 lamp hours in eco mode, such as the bulbs for the Epson 992F projector or the Epson Home Cinema 2150 projector. The Optoma GT1080Darbee projector bulb can get up to 10,000 lamp hours in eco mode.

Question Answered

I bought this lamp to replace my original, which worked for 7 years until it finally burned out recently. The lamp is easy to install, but it overheats in the first 5 minutes of use. The same thing happened with a cheaper Amazon bulb I bought. Do you have any suggestions? Asked by KC M. On Aug 01, 2024

It might be your projector. Try these possible solutions to fix this problem. First, I suggest cleaning out the inside of your projector to remove dirt and debris. Use an air compressor to clean the inside of your projector. Second, make sure the lamp is properly installed. Third, try resetting your Optoma projector. Press the Menu button, go to the Setup tab, navigate to Reset, select Reset to Default, select Yes to confirm, and wait for the process to finish. If none of these solutions work, then I suggest replacing the projector or contacting Optoma for questions about a new part or if you have a warranty.

Question Answered

I just bought a new projector, the Optoma HD27e and I can't find it in your "Suitable Projectors" list. I did find the HD27 model with lamp, but that does not correspond with the Lamp ID of the HD27e model: SP.7AZ01GC01. Are they the same model? If not, which module should I use? Asked by Jacques A. On Feb 25, 2020

The Optoma HD27e and the Optoma HD27 are different types of models, so you should use the HD27e lamp with module, SKU#: MPLL11770.
